Reporting through to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the entire payroll function, managing 6 direct reports and ensuring the payroll process runs smoothly and accurately. As part of this large centralised payroll team, you will have responsibility for the various companies, which will include salaried and waged, weekly and monthly calculations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Motivating and supporting all payroll staff
- Preparing and processing salaries and wages on a weekly and monthly basis
- Reconciling payroll accounts and calculating accruals
- Preparing PAYE returns
- Providing financial information when required
You will have:
- Payroll experience in a high volume environment (1000+ employees)
- Working knowledge of NZ employment legislation and tax requirements
- Advanced excel skills
- Proven staff management
To succeed in this position, it is imperative that you have excellent communication skills, demonstrate strong leadership skills and have excellent attention to detail.
