An established New Zealand operated and managed bank is seeking an auditor with IT audit experience to join the team. The Internal Audit function is responsible for assisting Executive Management, the Audit Committee and Board of Directors, with evaluating and improving the organisation's system of internal controls to effectively manage the risks faced in the organisation's operating environment.
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and working in a small internal audit team, you will be the team lead on IT and system risks and controls – ensuring that they are adequately considered by the team in all the audit activity performed. Being a small and dynamic team, you will be comfortable performing general internal audit activities, as well as IT audit activities across all business units of the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audit assignments in line with the approved AUP, including any special tasks or projects requested by Management and/or the Audit Committee
- Perform regular reviews over Line 1 and Line 2 assurance frameworks and activities
- Conduct cyclical reviews of key policies, procedures and frameworks to support external statutory and regulatory obligations
- Proactively identify and assess emerging trends and hotspots in the business and effectively communicate these within the business
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualified, ideally having completed CA (or relevant equivalent)
- An experienced auditor with IT audit skills, preferably with a CISA or similar qualification, and an understanding of ITIL and/or COBIT
- Good understanding of Prudential standards and consumer protection legislation; AML/CFT, FAA, CCCFA, Responsible Lending
- Experience designing and executing fieldwork to high quality standards and communicating key audit messages and recommendations
- Collaborative, a good team player, pro-active and solution focused
