Senior Accounts Advisor

What you'll do:

As a Senior Accounts Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable related processes and work programme deliveries. You will ensure efficient and accurate financial processing, compliance with policies and procedures, mentor and provide guidance to accounts advisors, initiate process improvement, work as 2IC to the Team Leader of Transactional Services and provide back fill during absence of the team leader. Your role will also involve evaluating Ministry needs and recommending suitable business process solutions during financial system implementations and enhancements.

  • Contribute to the day-to-day planning of the team's work schedule
  • Initiate business process improvement and implement efficiencies
  • Ensure financial risks associated with transactional processing are identified and mitigated
  • Assist in stakeholder engagement and deliver communication for key team messages
  • Oversee the processing of vendor invoices and payment
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard transactional services
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Transactional Services Accounts Advisors

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accounts Advisor position will bring a wealth of experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable. You will have proven ability to assist in leading and developing successful teams. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively as a team member and gain the confidence of diverse stakeholders. A history of success in a customer-focused environment is essential. Your attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills where you consistently use your initiative will ensure the best outcome in each situation.

  • Ability to build effective business relationships within an organisation
  • Experience in recognising business improvement opportunities
  • Proven self-management skills juggling conflicting priorities
  • Experience in documenting finance policies, processes, and procedures
