Assistant Accountant

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, accurate, and timely financial support within a fast-paced environment. What you'll do:

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, accurate, and timely finance support. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing balance sheet reconciliations, processing invoices, managing credit card processes, and assisting with the implementation of new systems. You will also collaborate closely with your team to ensure compliance with audit and sensitive expenditure policies. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations and review weekly payment runs
  • Process Travel Card Invoices and credit card entries
  • Prepare month-end accruals and assist in preparing P&L Monthly reconciliations
  • Manage Credit Card process including training users, ensuring audit and sensitive expenditure compliance
  • Assist with implementation of new systems by thorough testing and analysis
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure compliance to audit and sensitive expenditure policies

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Accountant position brings at least two years of experience in a similar role. You must have worked extensively with Accounts Payables and Receivables, demonstrating strong understanding of accounting principles. As well as this, excellent communication skills enable you to effectively liaise with various stakeholders. You must have meticulous attention to detail which ensures accuracy in all tasks. As well as this, intermediate Excel skills allow you to efficiently manage data and generate reports. Lastly, possessing high-quality analytical and problem-solving skills which are essential in resolving financial discrepancies.

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Assistant Accountant
  • Experience in working with Accounts Payables and Receivables
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • High quality analytical and problem-solving skills
