Customer Finance Agent

Our client is seeking a vibrant and fun personality to join their team as a Customer Finance Agent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced start up environment, alongside a highly motivated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the best possible experience for customers and partners, with the potential of becoming responsible for the overall customer experience. Customers are at the heart of everything they do, and this role plays a crucial part in supporting customers in meeting their tax obligations, working closely with government agencies on behalf of customers.

What you'll do:
As a Customer Finance Agent, you will play an integral role in ensuring that all customers feel confident that their financial affairs are being taken care of. You will be responsible for resolving issues with government tax agencies on behalf of our customers, supporting them in managing any legacy financial issues, and conducting thorough checks when onboarding new customers. Your role will also involve working closely with partners to ensure accurate payment processing, reconciling transaction and payments data, and processing tax returns. You will provide second-line support to customers, answering complex tax queries and conducting follow-up calls with new customers. Your ability to communicate complex tax information in an easy-to-understand manner will be key to your success.


• Working with government tax agencies to resolve issues on behalf of customers
• Supporting customers in getting on top of any legacy financial issues they may have
• Onboarding new customers including conducting AML/CFT checks
• Ensuring customers are paid correctly by working with partners
• Reconciling transaction and payments data where required
• Processing tax returns on behalf of customers
• Providing second-line support to customers, answering tax technical queries escalated by the Customer Care team
• Conducting follow-up calls with new customers and providing them with assistance as required
• Writing/maintaining online help articles
• Educating customers about tax in a way that is very easy to understand

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Customer Finance Agent role is a self-starter who takes initiative and seeks out ways to make things more efficient. You thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment, and are a team player who is willing to contribute wherever necessary. Your strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with your fantastic interpersonal skills and empathetic personality, will enable you to provide excellent customer service. Your attention to detail, organisational skills and self-sufficiency will be key in managing various responsibilities. Proficiency in Google suite, financial literacy and a genuine interest in finance are also required. A technical aptitude and the ability to learn software programs quickly would be advantageous.
