Finance Manager

Green by Nature, a leading landscape services provider across Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Finance Manager to join their Auckland team. The Finance Manager role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial operations while fostering a high-performing team culture. What you’ll do:

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team across Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
• Own the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
• Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, daily cash positions, and support working capital and liquidity planning.
• Lead external audit preparation, including managing audit queries and liaising with Group Finance and external auditors.
• Deliver BAU finance activities aligned with Group reporting timelines while meeting local NZ operational requirements.
• Provide financial insights, analysis, and decision support to business leaders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes, and reporting.
• Step into hands-on transactional activities when required to ensure continuity during peak periods or resource constraints.
• Act as a trusted finance partner to the wider business, supporting both operational and strategic decision-making.

What you’ll bring:

• Professional qualification (CA or equivalent).
• 5-8 year’s Financial Management experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with exceptional attention to detail and control focus.
• Proven experience leading and developing transactional finance teams (AP & AR).
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Advanced Excel capability; experience with SAP highly regarded.
• A collaborative mindset with a continuous improvement orientation and the confidence to roll up your sleeves when needed.
