Finance Manager

As Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of a fast-growing, internationally operating business. Leading a small team, you’ll take ownership of core financial processes across multiple jurisdictions while driving compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the New Zealand finance function, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of all accounting activities.
• Manage and mentor two junior accountants, fostering their development and performance.
• Own accounts receivable/payable processes, including billing cycles, payments, and bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Drive the month-end close process, including reconciliations for bank accounts, AR/AP, payroll, fixed assets, and tax.
• Coordinate statutory and tax compliance across New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and Singapore (GST, tax filings, statutory accounts).
• Prepare NZ statutory financial statements and collaborate with external advisors in offshore jurisdictions.
• Lead audit processes end-to-end, including preparation of deliverables and resolution of queries.
• Maintain robust financial controls and documentation to ensure strong audit trails and compliance.
• Partner with the Finance Director to provide insights and reporting that support strategic decision-making.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• CA or CPA qualified with 7–10+ years’ experience in accounting roles within complex or multi-entity environments.
• Strong expertise in AR/AP processes, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Exposure to multi-currency transactions and international operations is highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modelling capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
• Comfortable working across geographically dispersed teams in a collaborative manner.
