Senior Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring all month-end tasks, including journals and accruals, inventory, projects, and fixed assets, are completed accurately and on time. You will hold full accountability for the General Ledger and TB while demonstrating deep knowledge and responsibility for the company’s revenue recognition and reporting. Your role will also involve keeping balance sheet reconciliations up to date, processing all financial transactions in line with current financial reporting standards, and raising any issues in a timely manner.

• Ensure that all month-end tasks are completed accurately and on time
• Full accountability for the General Ledger and TB
• Deep knowledge and responsibility for the company’s revenue recognition and reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations are up to date and do not contain any aged variances
• All financial transactions are processed in line with current financial reporting standards
• Any issues are raised in a timely manner, and dealt with effectively

Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant position will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. With a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, full CA qualification, and at least 5 year's experience in a Senior Financial Accounting role, you will have demonstrated your ability to manage complex financial tasks with precision. Your expertise in Projects accounting will be invaluable as you navigate through various financial challenges. Your proven leadership skills will enable you to manage and motivate teams effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Fully qualified CA
• Minimum of 5 year's experience in a Senior Financial Accounting role and Audit
• Expertise in Projects accounting
• Demonstrated knowledge of NZ taxation requirements
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
