This opportunity offers you the chance to be at the forefront of a strategic programme that is reshaping finance systems and processes, enabling real-time insights and empowering teams to focus on impactful work that drives business value and enhances customer outcomes. You will thrive in an environment where trust, care, and collaboration are deeply valued, and where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering streamlined, automated solutions across the finance landscape.

This company is committed to investing in its people, fostering an inclusive culture, and providing a supportive space where every voice matters. If you are passionate about making a tangible difference through finance transformation and enjoy working with diverse teams to deliver meaningful change, this role offers both challenge and reward.

  • Be part of a transformative finance programme focused on integrating advanced systems and automating key processes for greater efficiency and insight.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment that values open communication, shared goals, and continuous learning.
  • Enjoy flexible working opportunities within a supportive organisation dedicated to professional development, inclusivity, and genuine care for its people.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Systems Accountant, you will be instrumental in driving forward the organisation’s ambitious finance transformation agenda. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with the Finance Transformation Programme Product Owner as you design, develop, and refine integrated systems that underpin financial reporting excellence. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally to ensure that new processes are not only fit-for-purpose but also add measurable value. Your analytical skills will help uncover areas for process enhancement while your facilitation abilities will support smooth implementation of solutions. By sharing your expertise generously across teams, you will help foster a culture of continuous improvement and collective achievement. Success in this role means delivering high-quality outcomes that empower finance teams to focus on value-adding activities while maintaining rigorous standards of accuracy and compliance.

  • Contribute to validating ERP requirements and implementing new processes for financial reporting systems, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate seamless project delivery.
  • Analyse business needs to identify opportunities for performance improvement within financial processes, supporting ongoing transformation initiatives.
  • Support the Product Owner in applying best practice business processes throughout the finance transformation journey.
  • Assist in ensuring successful delivery of implemented solutions by collaborating with multiple squads using agile methodologies.
  • Share your knowledge and expertise to inform both strategic and tactical decision-making across the finance function.
  • Identify technical dependencies within project epics and stories, proactively addressing potential challenges before they arise.
  • Support the test strategy by evaluating outcomes against acceptance criteria, ensuring robust system functionality prior to deployment.
  • Provide constructive feedback to project squads regarding solution usability within the business context.
  • Champion continuous improvement by actively seeking efficiencies and supporting innovative ideas that enhance commercial outcomes.

What you bring:

To excel as a Senior Systems Accountant, you will bring a blend of technical proficiency, collaborative spirit, and practical experience gained from complex finance environments. Your background includes recognised accountancy qualifications alongside substantial hands-on exposure to accounting systems transformations. You have demonstrated your ability to work effectively within agile frameworks contributing positively across multiple squads and have consistently delivered projects that meet or exceed expectations. Your approach is grounded in empathy: you listen carefully to stakeholder needs, communicate clearly even when navigating ambiguity, and provide thoughtful support during periods of change. You are comfortable analysing intricate data sets yet remain attuned to the human side of transformation coaching colleagues through new ways of working while championing best practices.

  • Accountancy qualification such as CA or CPA is essential for this position, demonstrating your commitment to professional standards.
  • At least five years’ experience in finance and accounting roles with deep knowledge of accounting systems and industry standards is required.
  • Ability to resolve issues collaboratively using facilitation skills combined with strong analytical problem-solving capabilities is highly valued.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on time showcases your dependability and organisational skills.
  • Experience with ERP transformation projects is preferred as it will allow you to contribute effectively from day one.
  • Previous involvement in coaching or supporting stakeholders highlights your interpersonal strengths and nurturing approach.
  • High technical aptitude for developing and implementing systems processes related to financial management technology is crucial for success.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and testing financial systems ensures you can handle complex technical challenges confidently.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills are necessary for building trust-based relationships across diverse groups; previous experience working with cross-continental teams or joint ventures involving shared platforms would be advantageous but not essential.

What sets this company apart:

This organisation stands out for its unwavering dedication to earning trust by protecting what matters most for its customers and this ethos extends equally to its employees. Here you’ll find a workplace where genuine values guide every action: caring for each other as much as for clients; prioritising teamwork over individual accolades; encouraging open dialogue so every perspective is heard; and investing meaningfully in personal growth through training opportunities. The company’s inclusive culture ensures everyone feels welcome regardless of background or experience level, a place where diversity is celebrated as a source of strength rather than simply acknowledged. Flexible working arrangements reflect an understanding of life’s demands outside work while generous support structures help nurture wellbeing inside it. Above all else, this is an environment where doing the right thing isn’t just encouraged it’s expected, and where your contributions will be recognised as vital parts of a larger mission centred on community impact.
