Senior Financial Accountant

Devoli is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant or Senior Management Accountant to join their Auckland-based Finance team. This is a blended role sitting at the intersection of technical accounting and commercial finance, with the title to be decided based on your background.

What you’ll do

• Own technical accounting and ensure compliance with NZ accounting standards
• Lead an accurate, audit-ready month-end close with strong reconciliations and controls
• Drive data integrity and continuous improvement across NetSuite and reporting
• Partner with auditors and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance insights for leadership
• Resolve payment, accrual, and reconciliation queries with clear evidence
• Mentor a Financial Operations Accountant and help build a high-performance finance culture

What you bring

• CA or CPA qualified, ideally professional services trained or with strong audit/technical accounting experience (NZ IFRS).
• 4–6+ year's experience in public practice or commercial roles within complex environments
• Proven ownership of month-end close, balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
• Confident managing external audits and producing high-quality working papers
• Strong GST/corporate tax knowledge with advanced Excel skills
• Commercial mindset with the ability to clearly explain financial performance
• Experience in fast-paced or high-growth environments
• Highly desirable: NetSuite, Power BI/SQL, and finance automation experience
