Finance Analyst

This role is central to the performance of their venues, providing analysis for each of the venue management teams to drive financial performance against KPI’s on a regular basis. The successful candidate will provide commercial insights to support timely decision making by the CEO, SLT and commercial partners of the business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute significantly to strategic projects.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance of our client's venues. You will be responsible for providing detailed analysis that supports decision-making processes at all levels of the organisation. Your ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans will be crucial in this role. You will also have the opportunity to influence the wider finance team through your promotion of a 'one team' approach. Your proactive nature will enable you to identify new areas for reporting and propose innovative solutions.

  • Work closely with the Group CFO, MD’s and Board on strategic projects including new ventures, venues, product launches etc.
  • Provide detailed and accurate financial and commercial support to various internal stakeholders enabling them to highlight issues, risks and opportunities.
  • Manage and deliver budget and latest estimate forecasting cycles ensuring robust financial plans are delivered within strict time frames.
  • Promote, develop and embed a ‘one team’ approach to Finance supporting improved financial capabilities of non-financial people.
  • Drive timely publication of weekly venue reporting on Revenue and Labour KPI’s vs Budget, highlighting any risks and mitigating plans.
  • Be proactive in identifying areas for new reporting and analysing different areas of the business proposing new solutions or ways of doing things.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Analyst position brings a wealth of experience in commercial finance roles. With a minimum of five year's experience under your belt, you possess outstanding technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting software. Your experience in the commercial, hospitality/retail business sector will be highly valued. You have a proven track record of developing budgeting and forecasting tools at a customer and product level and are comfortable working with a variety of financial and management information tools.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or another related subject
  • Minimum five years experience in commercial finance roles
  • Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Power BI or similar reporting software
  • At least three year's experience working in a commercial, hospitality/retail business
  • Experience developing budgeting and forecasting tools at a customer and product level
  • Experience working with a variety of financial and management information tools (Xero, One Tap)
  • SQL coding experience ideal but not required
