Our client is seeking a Commercial Analyst to play an integral role in supporting both the commercial and operational aspects of their business. This role is essential in bridging the gap between business strategy and the efficiency of operational processes to achieve the overall business budget. The successful candidate will be involved in end-to-end sourcing and coordinating of LPG from producers to end users, through analysis of product supply/demand profile, risks, pricing, market trading environment and suppliers.
What you'll do:
As a Commercial Analyst, your role will be pivotal in supporting both the commercial and operational aspects of our client's business. You will be responsible for assisting in the end-to-end sourcing and coordinating of LPG from producers to end users. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised as you monitor performance and balance LPG inventory levels. Your analytical prowess will shine as you extract, analyse, and report on commercial and trading data. You will regularly conduct market analysis and feasibility studies to gain a deep understanding of the LPG market. Your ability to create clear, well-structured documents that effectively communicate key information will be crucial in this role.
• Monitor performance and balance LPG inventory levels
• Extract, analyse and report on commercial and trading data
• Conduct market analysis and feasibility studies
• End of month financial reporting including cost inputs for sales calculator, storage accruals, carbon emissions and information for management reporting.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the company's LPG supply chain operations
• Create clear, well-structured documents that effectively communicate key information
• Collaborate with team members to review, refine, and improve documents and data
• Support with commercial analysis and insight, including contract review and coordinating various stakeholders and input.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of core commercial agreements underpinning supply and storage agreements.
Prepare analysis and written commentary for Board reports; management reports, business cases, policy consultation responses.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Commercial Analyst position brings a wealth of experience from a 'Big Four' accounting firm or equivalent, coupled with a strong commercial acumen. Your advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications will be put to good use as you produce various materials for external and internal audiences. Your exceptional communication and presentation skills will be essential in this role, as well as your ability to work effectively in a team environment. Your excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities will be crucial in this role.
• Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• At least 2 – 5 years’ experience at a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm or equivalent with an addition 1+ years elsewhere.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• In-depth experience producing various material for external and internal audiences.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Aptitude to succeed in a stressful and deadline-oriented environment.
