Finance Business Partner
Our client is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to provide strategic financial advice and support to the assigned portfolio's Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding key business drivers, cost drivers, pressures and risks, and using this knowledge to provide proactive, relevant, and integrated business and financial advice. What you'll do:
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive financial advice and support to the assigned portfolios Senior Leadership Team. You will understand the portfolio’s key business drivers, cost drivers, pressures and risks, using this knowledge to provide proactive, relevant, and integrated business and financial advice. Your ability to deliver timely and accurate information will assist in financial and operational decision-making. You will also contribute to the development of business cases, ensuring benefits can be achieved.
- Act as a key business partner to assigned Portfolio leadership teams
- Deliver timely, accurate and forward-looking financial information
- Identify and escalate issues and risks to the Senior Finance Business Partner
- Consult, challenge, and guide portfolio thinking to achieve sound decision making
- Contribute to the development of business cases
- Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in ensuring key issues and risks are proactively highlighted
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner role brings significant experience in finance within a large complex government organisation. You possess strong working knowledge of relevant standards, principles, policies, systems and processes. Your high level of computer literacy extends across all core products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Your proven quantitative and qualitative analytical skills incorporate problem-solving, sound decision making and creative thinking. You have demonstrated experience in driving outcomes and managing diverse stakeholder interests.
- Relevant experience as a Finance Business Partner in a large complex government organisation
- Strong working knowledge of relevant standards, principles, policies, systems and processes
- High level of computer literacy with all core products (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proven quantitative and qualitative analytical skills incorporating problem-solving
- Experience in driving outcomes and managing diverse stakeholder interests
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
