Senior Finance Business Partner
A leading Financial Services organisation in Auckland is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to drive financial performance and influence strategic decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, combining financial expertise with commercial insight to deliver long-term value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial advice to executive leadership, challenging assumptions and influencing decisions for strong commercial outcomes.
- Lead the annual operating expenses plan and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with business units and finance leadership.
- Analyse operational and financial data to identify opportunities, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Translate complex financial information into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Coach stakeholders at all levels to enhance financial acumen across the organisation.
- Identify and communicate value creation opportunities aligned with growth objectives.
- Develop multi-year strategic financial models to support long-term planning.
- Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessments to guide strategy.
- Support business cases with ROI calculations, payback analyses, and risk evaluations.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance in all financial reporting and planning outputs.
What You’ll Bring:
- Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent professional certification.
- Proven experience in strategic planning within large organisations.
- Advanced skills in commercial modelling, analytics, and delivering actionable insights. Preferably Power BI experience
- Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders through clear communication and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Proactive approach to addressing performance issues with value-added commentary beyond numbers.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives requiring collaboration across teams.
- Strong business acumen
- Expertise in influencing senior-level decisions as a trusted advisor with a track record of positive outcomes.
- Experience driving process improvements, including automation within finance functions.
