Senior Business Analyst

As one of a team of Senior Business Analysts, you’ll collaborate to design future-focused processes and systems that will replace current legacy systems to improve frontline services and enable better outcomes for tamariki and whānau.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design business processes and requirements to support frontline staff in delivering essential services.
- Engage stakeholders through workshops, interviews, and documentation reviews to identify needs and define solutions.
- Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory obligations.
- Model detailed business processes (Level 3–4) while ensuring consistency with higher-level frameworks (Level 0–2).
- Support solution delivery phases, including build, testing, deployment, and post-deployment activities to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in large-scale technology upgrades or process redesigns within complex organisations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and clarify ambiguities.
- Advanced skills in process modelling and stakeholder engagement techniques such as workshops and interviews.
- A collaborative mindset with a commitment to knowledge sharing and teamwork.
- Experienced in Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence (or similar tools) to manage and trace requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- New Zealand government experience
