Reporting to the Workstream Manager for the Digital Blueprint Programme, the Senior Change/Communications Manager will be providing programme level support which will contribute towards the programme’s outcomes.
- Identify the risks to change and develop mitigation strategies
- Support the development of communications relevant to the change initiatives
- Work closely with the Core Business Groups and help them prepare for change. Assess change readiness across key stakeholder groups
- Develop metrics to measure the success of change activities
- Identify and document a process which monitors change activities, level of uptake, speed of adoption and ensures that change is embedded within individual Business Groups
- Work with/support other Change Managers within the programme to ensure coordinated approach to change management and communications
- Lead the development of a programme level communication strategy and plan
- Develop approaches for addressing resistance to change
- Assist in developing standardised processes for Business Groups as required
- Complete impact assessments that highlight the change from current state to future state
- Position details:
- We are looking for a Senior Change/Communications Manager with the following Skills & Experience:
- Experience leading Change Management across Government including technology enablement and business capability uplift programmes
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
- Well-developed skills in presenting to senior level governance forums, including preparation of high-quality senior level papers
- Ability to absorb and analyse high volumes of information, including technical information
- Capable of developing alternative pathways to achieving outcomes
- Considerable experience in working across multi-stream projects within a Digital Programme of work
- Strong Influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to create and encourage a motivated environment
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
- Highly developed communication skills to inform, persuade and influence
- Considerable experience in managing a wide range of stakeholders with varied views, and a demonstrated ability to balance project needs and deliverables with agency impacts
- An in-depth understanding of the Public Sector environment and a demonstrated understanding of policy and legislative processes, including Government decision-making and operating procedures
- Expert knowledge and experience with change management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
- Experience in developing programme level communications and change plans
- Experience preparing information for senior executives and ministers
- The candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Change management certification or designation desired
- Tertiary qualification, or degree, in related business discipline is desirable or extensive and comparable relevant experience
