Change Manager

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels (frontline staff to senior leaders) to ensure successful delivery of transformation initiatives.
- Lead the planning and execution of complex change programmes spanning technology, policy, and process improvements.
- Facilitate effective communication between diverse teams to foster understanding and cooperation throughout the change lifecycle.
- Support the implementation of regulatory and legislative changes by providing expert guidance and empathetic stakeholder engagement.
- Share insights and best practices with other change professionals within the central change practice.
- Monitor progress against key milestones while proactively addressing challenges to maintain momentum on programme objectives.
- Provide coaching and support to team members adapting to new ways of working introduced by transformation initiatives.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale change programmes—including technology, policy, or process—within complex environments.
- Experience working within the New Zealand government sector is essential for this role.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels through considerate communication that fosters trust.
- Expertise managing regulatory or legislative change projects with sensitivity to operational environments.
- Ability to thrive in collaborative teams where interpersonal skills are valued as much as technical expertise.
- Commitment to inclusive practices that respect cultural perspectives.
- Strong organisational skills for managing complex projects with multiple moving parts.
