Project Manager - Reg & Compliance

Our client is on the hunt for a dynamic and driven Project Manager to join their delivery team on the cusp of some exciting change. This Financial Services business is about to embark on their next transformation across digital and AI, and need this PM to be the Reg and Compliance specialist in their delivery team. This is a role for those who thrive in a changing environment, and are keen to make positive impact. Auckland based, 4 dpw in the office.

• Deliver regulatory and compliance change projects from initiation through to closure
• Establish and manage project governance, including scope, budgets, risks, dependencies, and reporting
• Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical delivery plans
• Coordinate multiple workstreams across business, technology, risk, legal, and external partners
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, steering groups, and delivery teams
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure smooth delivery
• Oversee vendor and partner delivery to ensure alignment with programme outcomes
• Track and report on delivery progress, milestones, and value realisation
• Work closely with change and communications teams to support business readiness and adoption

• 10+ years’ experience in senior project management roles
• Strong background delivering projects in regulated environments (financial services preferred)
• Proven experience delivering compliance, regulatory, or transformation programmes
• Solid capability across governance, planning, financial management, and risk control
• Confident managing multiple workstreams and delivery squads simultaneously
• Experience working with vendors and complex technology platforms
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including influencing at executive level
• Comfortable working in hybrid delivery environments (Agile / Waterfall)
• Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
