Your day-to-day activities will involve interacting with individuals via phone calls or digital platforms—listening carefully to their needs before providing clear information that empowers them to make confident choices about their coverage. You will be responsible for ensuring every conversation is conducted ethically and professionally while maintaining meticulous records of each interaction. Success in this position comes from your ability to balance achieving sales outcomes with delivering genuine care; you’ll resolve queries swiftly while building rapport that encourages trust. By staying informed about product offerings and participating actively within the team environment, you’ll contribute not only to your own success but also to the collective achievements of the group. Your commitment to continuous improvement—both personally and organisationally—will be recognised as you help shape best practices within the department.

  • Engage with customers across inbound, outbound, and digital channels to provide accurate information and guide them towards making informed insurance decisions.
  • Consistently achieve individual, team, and business objectives by meeting key performance indicators related to revenue growth, retention rates, productivity targets, and service level agreements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products, services, promotions, and campaigns to ensure you can offer relevant solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.
  • Accurately record data entry in a timely manner so that all customer account changes are processed correctly across departments.

What you bring:

To excel as an Insurance Consultant in Wellington, your background should include proven experience in roles where direct engagement with customers was central—whether through sales or service environments. Your natural empathy enables you to understand others’ perspectives easily while responding thoughtfully even during challenging conversations. You bring strong organisational abilities that allow you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising accuracy or quality. Above all else, your integrity shines through: customers know they can depend on your honest advice because you genuinely care about their wellbeing.

  • Previous experience in frontline sales or customer service roles is highly desirable as it equips you with practical skills for engaging with diverse customers.
  • A strong focus on customer satisfaction ensures you consistently meet expectations while building lasting relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enable you to relate well to colleagues at all levels within the organisation as well as external clients.
  • Outstanding communication skills—both verbal and written—ensure clarity in every interaction while maintaining diplomacy even under pressure.
  • Attention to detail supports accurate data entry so that all customer information is processed efficiently without errors.
  • You must be available Monday to Friday - 8am to 7pm (work a 7.5 hour day) on a rostered shift that changes every two months
