Strategy Specialist

Our client is seeking a Strategy Specialist with a deep understanding of central government infrastructure and property strategy. We are looking for an accomplished, outcomes-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, adept at articulating complex short and long-term needs clearly, and navigating uncertainties with confidence. This is a pivotal role that offers the opportunity to drive and innovate within a supportive and collaborative team.

What you'll do:

  • Develop long-term policy, strategy, and guidance
  • Contribute towards transformation programmes and strategic initiatives
  • Engage and collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare quality papers for executive, Board and/or Minister
  • Model and design long-term investment strategies for property & infrastructure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the private infrastructure sector
  • Engage with and manage strategic partnerships across the wider sector
  • Research and develop market research options for long term investments
  • Role model organisational behaviours and Te Tiriti O Waitangi principles

What you bring:

  • A wealth of experience navigating complex project and programme management environments
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a track record of providing strategic support in property & infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a history of delivering robust reports
  • Superior relationship building & stakeholder engagement abilities
  • An in-depth understanding of the machinery of government
  • A proven background in operational policy
  • A commercial mindset and strong understanding of property investment options would be desirable
