An exciting opportunity has become available for a Manager, Capability and Performance to join the Information & Safety group that sits within Organisational Capability and Services, a branch dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to make New Zealand better for all. The Information and Safety (I&S) Group combines DIA’s experts in; Health and Safety, Information Management, Privacy, Resilience and Recovery, Security and Risk. They are responsible for providing cross functional support to the wider Department to keep its people, information, and assets safe.
About the role:
This role will manage and lead the Capability and Performance team to ensure the Department is provided with the education, performance analysis and reporting that is required to ensure people and assets are safe. The Manager, Capability and Performance will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of internal and external governance reports, developing strategy documents for the group and providing internal communications for the group whilst advocating for continuous improvement across the system.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years senior advisory experience along with at least 2 years leadership experience
- Reporting at an executive level
- Communications experience especially the ability to translate complex and technical information into plain English.
- An understanding of the Protective Security Requirements would be beneficial along with an understanding of incident management.
