Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join their team in Auckland for 12 months. This role is an exciting opportunity to utilise your technical and professional skills within a company that values creativity, knowledge adoption, and innovation. You will be responsible for providing assistance and guidance to employees and management on a broad range of Human Resources policies, programmes, and practices. If you are passionate about developing talent and creating engaging workplace cultures, this could be the perfect role for you.

What you'll do:


As a Human Resources Business Partner, your role will be pivotal in shaping the people and culture within the organisation. You will be tasked with providing comprehensive services and advice on all aspects of Human Resources, from employment relations to compensation benefits. Your expertise will ensure that the company remains compliant with all legal requirements, while also fostering an environment that encourages growth and development. Your ability to build strong relationships with both Line Managers and employees will be crucial in promoting HR effectiveness across the board. Additionally, you will play a key role in embedding a performance management culture within the business units, driving business improvement through clear objectives and feedback.

  • Provide services and advice covering all facets of Human Resources
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with legal requirements among business units
  • Develop and implement new policies, practices and programmes to meet organisational needs
  • Build strong business relationships with Line Managers and employees
  • Assist Line Manager with designing succession plans for key talents and key job positions
  • Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; Conduct thorough investigations and meetings
  • Embed a performance management culture within the business units as a means of driving business improvement


What you bring:


The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Business Partner role is someone who brings a wealth of experience in the field of HR. With excellent consulting and negotiation skills, you have the ability to interact and influence at an executive level. Your experience in formulating new strategies and procedures will be invaluable in this role, as well as your up-to-date knowledge of current employment legislation.

  • Excellent consulting and negotiation skills
  • Ability to interact and influence at an executive/strategic level
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources in an advisory role
  • Experience in formulating new strategies and procedures
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite
