We’re seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join a leading organisation in Christchurch. This is 12 month role ideally suited to a contractor. It is a high-impact role for someone skilled in organisational design, change management and talent strategy, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive meaningful outcomes.

Key focus areas:

  • Organisational Design and Change: Lead operating model design, restructuring initiatives and organisational change projects that align with business strategy.
  • Culture and Leadership Development: Shape organisational culture through DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) initiatives and leadership development programmes.
  • Talent and Succession Planning: Develop strategies to identify, grow, and retain top talent while building robust succession pipelines.
  • Strategic People Decisions: Link business strategy to operational people decisions using data-driven insights and a pragmatic approach.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in senior HR roles within complex organisations.
  • Expertise in organisational design, change management, and talent planning.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a results-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders through constructive challenge.
  • Proven track record of building trusted partnerships across business and corporate functions.
  • Sound judgement balancing business needs, people experience, and risk considerations.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity while delivering outcomes.

Additional knowledge areas: While there is a requirement to be knowledgeable in remuneration, performance management, and employee relations, there is no need for deep expertise as there area specialised areas of practice within the team.
