Senior Automation Tester

Senior Automation Tester needed to build API, messaging & performance test solutions. Drive quality across CI/CD and modern distributed systems.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and implement automated and performance testing solutions for enterprise applications, including API and messaging-based systems.

• Define and evolve test strategies to reduce manual effort, improve release cycles, and track quality metrics.

• Lead execution of automated QA processes, ensuring adherence to testing standards and methodologies.

• Build and enhance automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop and execute integration tests covering MQ, message-driven architectures, and asynchronous event flows.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed quality across the development lifecycle.

• Analyse performance test results and provide actionable recommendations.

• Mentor junior testers and uplift team-wide automation capability.

• Promote safe and compliant working practices.

What you’ll bring

Essential

• Strong experience in automated API and integration testing within CI/CD environments.

• Hands-on expertise with automation tools such as Rest Assured, Nightwatch, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Gradle, and JMeter.

• Proven experience testing MQ-based systems, message-driven architectures, and asynchronous integration flows.

• Solid background in performance testing, including load design and results analysis.

• Ability to write clean, modular, object-oriented automation code.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving capability.

• Experience across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.

Desirable

• Exposure to cloud and container platforms (AWS, OpenShift).

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Spinnaker.

• Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI models.

• Experience mentoring junior team members.
