Salesforce Technical Lead

As a Salesforce Technical Lead based in Wellington, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance across multiple agile squads tasked with delivering enhancements to the organisation’s core Salesforce Platform. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with business owners to understand evolving requirements, leading technical discovery sessions for new features or legislative changes, and ensuring that all solutions adhere to configuration-first principles. You will mentor internal developers as well as onboard external vendor resources into established ways of working. By producing clear documentation and facilitating structured handovers, you will ensure that knowledge is shared effectively across teams. Your ability to drive integration projects using modern middleware tools will be crucial in enabling secure data flows between systems. • Extensive hands-on experience developing on the Salesforce Platform including Lightning Web Components, Aura Components, Apex programming language, Flows automation tools, OmniStudio components, and SOQL queries.
• Deep familiarity with configuration-first development using declarative tools such as App Builder, Flow Builder, Dynamic Forms, and Permission Sets to create scalable solutions.
• Proven track record leading technical teams within an agile environment while supporting adoption of configuration-first frameworks like Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS).
• Comprehensive experience with Service Cloud implementations as well as tailoring Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and Experience Cloud for complex organisational needs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead agile delivery practices including DevOps approaches (Azure DevOps or Git), CI/CD pipeline management, and mentoring junior team members.
• Expertise integrating platforms using APIs or middleware technologies such as Mulesoft or REST/SOAP protocols with a focus on security and scalability.
• Ability to facilitate workshops with stakeholders to analyse business processes and recommend solutions aligned with out-of-the-box Salesforce capabilities.
• Commitment to upholding platform governance standards through thorough documentation practices and technical assurance activities.
• Exceptional communication skills combined with a collaborative approach that uplifts internal capability while supporting vendor resource integration.
