This Senior Technical Business Analyst role is a permanent position within a dynamic and collaborative technology company with a national reach that focuses on digital connectivity in the Education sector. You will be responsible for the investigation, analysis, review, and documentation of business functions and processes. You will identify and define requirements to help improve any aspect of systems and processes and quantification of potential business benefits. This role would suit a highly capable individual who is naturally driven and is keen to work across a range of technology projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with stakeholders, system owners and technical SMEs to capture and document business and technology systems as required.
• Identify delivery issues and risks, assist with mitigation strategies, and escalate where necessary.
• Convert high-level customer and end-user requirements into functional requirements.
• Write requirements specifications and user stories, according to company practices, using language that is clear, concise and encompassing for a diverse audience.
• Facilitate group meetings, such as workshops, model and organise data/information in order to elicit requirements, reconcile conflicts and distinguish solution ideas from business needs.
• Develop, define, and build technology bias business cases that will enable business and technology change
• Conduct analysis of business issues and changes.
• Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specifications.
Key Requirements:
• You will be a hands on Business Analyst with an adaptable skill-set - comfortable with technical and business process projects.
• You have the ability to problem solve and a be a strategic thinker.
• You have the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships.
• Experience using development workflow tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience using Scrum and Agile techniques.
