Principal Advisor - Digital and Insights (Contract)

What you'll do:

As Principal Advisor Digital and Insights, you will play an instrumental role in driving digital transformation initiatives. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with diverse teams to understand their unique challenges before designing innovative digital solutions tailored to their needs. You will leverage your deep understanding of workplace collaboration platforms—such as M365 suite—and advanced analytics tools to deliver impactful process enhancements. By integrating generative AI into workflows responsibly, you will help automate routine tasks while upskilling staff on new technologies. Your ability to communicate complex findings clearly ensures both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders are engaged throughout each project. In addition to leading analytics communities of practice, you will manage concurrent projects from inception through delivery—always with an eye toward improving efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Mentoring others is central to your approach; you foster an environment where learning is shared openly. Finally, your vigilance in risk management ensures that all digital initiatives are implemented safely within evolving regulatory landscapes.

You are adept at leveraging M365 collaboration tools not only for workflow automation but also for enhancing team connectivity across distributed environments. • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline is required; a master’s degree would be advantageous for deeper subject matter expertise.
• Demonstrated experience applying M365 workplace collaboration tools—including Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI—as well as other data analytics platforms and generative AI technologies in complex environments.
• Strong analytical skills paired with critical thinking abilities allow you to interpret large datasets accurately while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout all stages of analysis.
• Proven track record in data visualisation techniques coupled with hands-on experience producing actionable reports that inform strategic decisions at senior levels.
• Experience conducting statistical analysis and predictive modelling using modern methodologies relevant to public sector or regulatory contexts.
• Familiarity with database management systems alongside sound knowledge of data warehousing concepts enables you to design scalable solutions for long-term organisational benefit.
• Excellent communication skills empower you to present complex technical information clearly—both verbally and in writing—to audiences ranging from executive leadership through frontline staff.
• Ability to thrive both independently when managing projects autonomously as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams focused on shared outcomes.
