ERP and Applications Specialist

Save job

This role is critical to the ongoing success of their business and IT, following a 5-year digital transformation including an ERP replacement. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys getting into the details while keeping the big picture in mind. You'll manage updates, upgrades, enhancements of features, design new features, enable defect fixes and look into integrating other applications to the ERP in future.

What you'll do:

As an ERP and Applications Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our client's ERP system. Your responsibilities will include managing updates, upgrades, feature enhancements, designing new features with vendors, enabling defect fixes, and exploring integration possibilities with other applications. You will become well-versed with the system operations, business rules, and processes which will aid you in managing backlogs and prioritising tasks effectively. You will be expected to run requirement meetings, manage stakeholders and vendors as well as oversee User Acceptance Testing sessions. Your ability to multitask will be crucial in this role as you balance various responsibilities while keeping both internal and external customers' needs at heart.

  • Manage updates, upgrades, enhancements of features, design new features (alongside vendors), enable defect fixes and also look into integrating other applications to the ERP in future.
  • Understand how the system operates, and various business rules and processes to help you manage the backlog and prioritise.
  • Become the go-to person for all topics related to the ERP application and a couple of other key applications.
  • Run requirement meetings, stakeholder management, vendor management, and manage User Acceptance Testing sessions.
  • Showcase ability to multiple-task
  • Think for internal and external customers. Be service delivery oriented.

What you bring:

The ideal ERP and Applications Specialist candidate brings a wealth of IT experience, specifically in requirements, design, implementation, and product ownership. You possess a strong technical background, including SQL skills, and have demonstrated business analysis skills through project work involving APIs. Your expertise extends to ERP applications where you've functioned not merely as a user but as a specialist. Your ability to run requirement meetings, manage stakeholders and vendors, and oversee User Acceptance Testing sessions will be crucial. Experience with technical and process solutions involving multiple stakeholders and vendors is essential, as is API experience with web technologies. Familiarity with MS Business Central will be considered an added advantage. An agile thinker who pays attention to detail, you also bring some knowledge of finance and accounting to the table.

  • 12 years of experience in IT (requirements, design, implementation, product ownership)
  • Strong technical background including SQL skills.
  • Strong business analysis skills showcased through project work including APIs
  • Any ERP application knowledge is preferred - not as a user but as a specialist.
  • The ability to run requirement meetings, stakeholder management, vendor management, and manage User Acceptance Testing sessions.
  • Technical and process solutions experience with multiple stakeholders and vendors is necessary. So is API experience with web technologies.
  • MS Business Central experience will be an added advantage.
  • Agile in thought and action but with attention to detail
  • Finance and accounting knowledge would be helpful.
