Network Operations Centre Team Lead

This is a hands‑on leadership role with a strong emphasis on workforce scheduling, shift rostering, and operational coverage, ensuring the NOC delivers consistent, high‑quality service aligned with strict SLAs.

You will be responsible for owning the NOC roster, driving performance, developing people, and ensuring the right skills are available at the right time across all shifts.

The Role:

  • Own and maintain the 24/7 NOC shift roster, ensuring continuous coverage across all networks and services
  • Design and manage fair, balanced, and sustainable shift schedules, including leave planning and on‑call rotations
  • Ensure skill‑based coverage across all shifts, accounting for incident response, escalation, and specialist capabilities
  • Manage leave approvals, schedule changes, and overtime, and submit monthly wage summaries to payroll
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of NOC engineers in a 24/7 environment
  • Responsible for the day‑to‑day NOC operations ensuring SLA and availability targets are consistently met

Ideal Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Networks, or Computer Engineering
  • 10+ years’ experience in telco or network operations
  • 2+ years in a Team Leader or Supervisory role
  • Proven experience building and managing NOC rosters and shift schedules in a 24x7 environment
  • ITIL certification
  • Cisco, Juniper, or Optical/DWDM vendor certifications (Ciena, Nokia, Infinera, Huawei)
