Contract Senior Network Engineer - SV Clearance required

* Based Whenuapai, Auckland * Early February 2026 - 30th June 2026 (with strong potential for ongoing extensions) * MUST have SV or higher NZ security clearance About the role: We're seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join an Enterprise Networks team. You'll work in a complex multi-vendor environment supporting datacentres, major campuses, and approximately 100 remote sites including overseas locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain large-scale IPSec VPN networks
• Maintain datacentre switching fabrics
• Troubleshoot remote site issues with field teams
• Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and partners on service lifecycle management
• Provide leadership and mentorship to network engineering team

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with OSPF/BGP routing protocols
• IPSec VPN expertise
• Multi-vendor environment experience (Cisco routing/switching, Juniper routing/switching, Palo Alto NGFW)
• Ansible/Git working knowledge
• Understanding of IP telephony

Highly Valued:

• Azure Virtual WAN and ExpressRoute
• CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps pipelines or similar)
• Hybrid cloud and cloud migration experience
• Large campus and remote network experience
• PKI and Cisco SD-WAN knowledge

You must be in New Zealand and have a current Security clearance Secret or above.
