You will lead a team of dedicated consultants, driving secure outcomes across the organisation using industry best practices and enterprise security standards. Through continuous feedback and mentorship, you will ensure that your team achieves high standards for the security compliance of IT systems and services.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Principal Security Consultant role brings a wealth of experience in leading and overseeing security teams or consultants. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will enable you to present to large groups comfortably and engage effectively with senior-level stakeholders. A strong understanding and practical knowledge of government security frameworks such as NIST, NZISM, and PSR are essential for this role. Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, along with a solid understanding of architectural principles, technology patterns, practices, and processes will set you apart.

• 7+ years’ experience in leading and overseeing security teams or consultants
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable presenting to large groups and engaging with senior level stakeholders
• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of government security frameworks such as NIST, NZISM and PSR
• Agile and Waterfall experience
• Solid understanding of architectural principals, technology patterns, practices and processes
