The Technical Lead is responsible to ensure the CRM function delivers a quality service to the WDCs.
Hāpaitia Limited (Hāpaitia) is a subsidiary of the six Workforce Development Councils (WDCs) and plays an important role as the shared services provider for the WDCs. They have several services that they deliver so they can empower the role of WDCs including: finance; information and communications technology; people and culture; Māori strategic advice; Pacific strategic advice; business systems development; office management; and other business services.
Hāpaitia is strongly service oriented and solutions focussed. They support and partner with the WDCs to enable them to effectively carry out their important mahi.
About the role:
The WDCs use Microsoft Dynamics as their core business solution (known as Aka Kōrero) to support their legislated functions of skills leadership, qualifications and standards development and quality assurance of providers. This solution is supported by Hāpaitia.
The CRM Technical Lead is one half of the Aka Kōrero development and support team. Together with the CRM Business Lead, the Technical Lead is responsible to ensure the CRM function delivers a quality service to the WDCs.
The CRM Technical Lead will be the MS Dynamics and Power BI technical expert and champion working to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the MS Dynamics solution so that WDCs can create meaningful digital interactions with providers, industry and iwi.
Aka Kōrero is still undergoing significant development and expansion and the CRM Technical Lead (together with the Business Lead) will promote the expanded use of Aka Kōrero within WDCs and, working with their third party development partner, support and manage the development roadmap.
System delivery and change
Play a key role in product design and technical solutions, including maintaining the product backlog,
Support the change process structures and tools
Establish and maintain effective UAT documentation, both process and UAT scenario libraries
Work with the CRM external development partner to perform configurations within the system including:
Building Out Form and User Capabilities
Quality Assurance and Testing
Documentation and Training
Analytics and Reporting
Solution Design and Development
Design and prototype solution options to meet business requirements
Develop and deploy business configurable solutions in MS Dynamics and/ or PowerApps
Assess and manage the impact of Microsoft upgrades
Manage external vendors through the scoping, design, and execution of CRM change activities
Data analysis utilizing analytical skills to find correlations between different types of data and provide insight into the effectiveness of the data in contributing to value-added outcomes for each WDC
Deliver stakeholder/customer insights and make recommendations by performing data analysis and post activity evaluations
Assist the business with bulk imports
Information & Reporting
Identify needs and develop effective reporting for WDCs using Power BI.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details; abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Operational Planning and support
Provide expertise and advice for CRM projects as applicable across WDC’s
Troubleshoot technical CRM issues
Work with the MS desktop team to address issues
Escalate issues to the vendor where further support is required
Mentor and support staff within the Aka Kōrero team and other CRM users
Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Understands Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supports capability building across the WDC.
Work with Te Tiriti o Waitangi partners to co-design functions and activities and influence, engage and embed initiatives across the system.
Ensuring that the WDCs’ work is informed and agreed by our partners, and we meet their reporting requirements.
Demonstrate how your work supports Māori Crown relationships.
Skills, knowledge and experience:
Able to work collaboratively and supportively in a small team
Extensive knowledge of Dynamics 365 database design
Intermediate to advanced PowerBI visualization
Intermediate in dax and M
Able to write SQL queries
Intermediate in Power Automate
Familiarity and prior experience with XRM Toolbox will be an added advantage
Strong analytical skills in addition to knowledge of analytical or database software, particularly CRM or business intelligence systems
Experience working in a customer-facing role
Experience managing data quality
Experience working with business application
Able to respond quickly and work in a fast-paced, sometimes rapidly changing environment
