Workforce Management Test Analyst

Our client is seeking a highly organised, team-focused and personable Workforce Management Test Analyst to join their team. This role is part of a Holidays Act Programme, which is establishing appropriately resourced workstreams to fulfil its purposes. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Test Lead, Data Analysts and business, delivering testing services that meet the organisation's requirements for the rectification part of the programme. This role offers remote working.

What you'll do:
As a Workforce Management Test Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of payroll system testing. You will be an integral part of the Rectification Test Team, taking ownership of allocated test deliverables. Your responsibilities will include reviewing functional and non-functional requirements, undertaking directed testing, producing test artefacts, ensuring timely completion of tasks, specifying tool/environment requirements, identifying/reporting quality issues, and utilising your experience with various tools/methodologies.

  • Assume responsibility for allocated test deliverables within the Rectification Test Team, including planning, execution and or test admin support
  • Review functional and non-functional requirements and specifications to understand the testing requirements and criteria
  • Undertake testing as directed by the Test Lead
  • Produce Test artefacts and reports in line with project requirements
  • Ensure assigned work is achieved within the agreed timeframes
  • Specify requirements for environment, tools, and define test conditions
  • Identify and report test and quality issues and risks including stream defect management
  • Use experience with a wide range of Tools and methodologies

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Workforce Management Test Analyst position brings a wealth of experience and skills to the table. You have proven experience with Rostering systems, Workforce Management Systems, and Pay Rule interpretations. Your test experience is complemented by your knowledge of Payroll/Holidays Act. With over 5 years of hands-on experience in Payroll system testing, you possess excellent analytical skills and can identify non-functional risks within an application. Your ability to analyse business requirements from different user groups and use a range of methodologies sets you apart.

  • Proven experience with Rostering systems (Actor or Payglobal Time and Attendance would be helpful)
  • Experience with Workforce Management Systems and Pay Rule interpretations such as NZNO and PSA Nursing MECAs/pay policies
  • Test Experience in similar roles or industries
  • Payroll/Holidays Act experience is essential
  • 5+ years proven hands-on experience and exposure to Payroll system testing
  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to identify areas of non-functional risk within an application
  • Experience in analysing business requirements from different user groups
  • Successful experience in using a range of methodologies
  • Successful experience of analysing complex issues and documenting cause and effect
