Full Stack Developer

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the project development team and ensuring the quality of developed code across all applications, integrations, automation, scripts, etc. This role offers the chance to work in both Agile and Waterfall software development environments and build dev pipelines using continuous integration patterns and automation technologies.

What you'll do:

As a Full Stack Developer, you will play an integral role in leading the project development team. You will be responsible for developing the initial framework or platform of the solution, mentoring other developers, and ensuring adherence to best practices. Your ability to think creatively about solution design and delivery will be key in achieving time and cost savings. You will also participate in a community of Lead Developers that meets regularly to ensure alignment and quality across projects.

  • Work closely with the Technical Lead on the project to assess development quality and ensure best practices are being adhered to
  • Bring a long-term product quality view to the project software development
  • Develop the initial framework or platform of the solution which each developer will use to build the solution
  • Determine what processes are needed for development within the project and work with Technical Lead to ensure these are set up
  • Mentor the developers in the project team and make sure developers know what processes to follow
  • Lead standardisation of code repositories and code management practices
  • Participate in a community of Lead Developers that meets regularly to ensure alignment and quality across projects


What you bring:

The ideal Full Stack Developer will bring extensive experience working in both Agile and Waterfall software development environments. She will have demonstrable hands-on full-stack development experience with various languages and frameworks. Her ability to integrate disparate systems and knowledge of integration patterns, standards and technologies will be crucial. She will also have excellent documentation skills and the ability to present technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way.

  • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall software development environments
  • Experience building dev pipeline using continuous integration patterns and automation technologies
  • Demonstrable hands-on full-stack development experience/skills for languages/frameworks such as Java, JavaScript, React, Spring Framework (Spring Boot), RESTful APIs/Microservices, Maven/Gradle, Postgres
  • Preferred experience with AWS services – Amplify, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53, EKS, RDS
  • Experience integrating disparate systems and knowledge of integration patterns, standards and technologies
  • Excellent documentation skills and ability to present technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way
