Senior Automation Tester

Our client is seeking a Senior Automation Tester to join their team in Wellington. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex integration programmes, applying your expertise in test automation using the Python PyTest framework. You will be responsible for system integration testing with the FRR solution, end-to-end testing, and supporting UAT. What you'll do:

As a Senior Automation Tester, you will play a crucial role in our client's operations. You will be tasked with system integration testing with the FRR solution and end-to-end testing while providing support for UAT. Your responsibilities will also include designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test scripts. You will ensure that these scripts are not only created but also modified and maintained as per requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for maturing the automated test framework to achieve higher test throughput, increased accessibility, and test execution flexibility.

• System Integration Testing with the FRR solution
• End to End testing and supporting UAT
• Designing, developing and executing both manual and automated test scripts
• Ensuring complex automated scripts are created, modified and maintained
• Ensuring test criteria are gathered correctly, timely and meet established standards
• Mature automated test framework to achieve higher test throughput, increased accessibility, and test execution flexibility
• Applying automated test frameworks and tools to meet business needs
• Ensuring functionality, performance, scalability, and other quality goals are met
• Determining testing standards
• Performing manual testing as needed

You have proven expertise in test automation using the Python PyTest framework along with experience in Database, ETL, Datawarehouse Testing. Your hands-on experience with databases like Snowflake and Postgres, coupled with your ability to write complex SQL, will be invaluable in this role. You are familiar with CI/CD Pipelines and have the ability to set up and manage test data in upstream systems to support testing activities. Your collaborative nature enables you to work effectively with stakeholders to gather test requirements.

• Expertise in test automation using Python PyTest framework
• Experience in Data Base, ETL, Datawarehouse Testing
• Hands-on experience with Databases like Snowflake and Postgres
• Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL.

• Ability to setup and manage test data in upstream systems to support testing activities
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to gather test requirements
• Experience in preparing comprehensive test documentation including test cases, plans, and summary reports.
• Ability to conduct Exploratory Testing.
