Senior Automation Tester

Our client is seeking a Senior Automation Tester to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take a leadership approach in test design, work closely with Business Analysts and developers, and contribute to creating great user experiences. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in an agile environment, utilising their skills in Java, JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, Junit, Gradle, Jenkins, JMeter tools, and SQL.

What you'll do:

• Take a leadership approach in thinking critically and laterally about test design.
• Mitigate project risks through an appropriate test approach.
• Explore the application to expose vulnerabilities beyond the business requirements.
• Work with Business Analysts and developers to create automated checks using existing tools.
• Develop a common understanding of the business requirements with your agile team.
• Clearly communicate defects to the business and your agile team.
• Contribute to a shared focus on creating great user experiences.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including stand up, retrospective, planning and demonstration.
• Undertake non-testing related activities to assist the team to deliver on its commitments.

What you bring:

• Proven experience working in an Agile environment.
• Growth mindset.
• 3+ Years proven experience designing and creating automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, Junit, Gradle, Jenkins, JMeter tools, SQL.
• CI/CD/pipeline/automation testing experience with Java microservices.
• Experience in testing integration solutions on AWS / Azure.
• Analysis and Problem Solving.
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
• CI development, support (Jenkins).
• Playwright/Cypress/Selenium/Rest-Assured experience.
• SQL experience.
• Banking or financial services.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualified in Information Technology, Business Management, or related discipline.
