Contract UX / UI Engineer

We’re partnering with a leading enterprise undergoing a transformational shift in Data & AI. As part of this journey, the organisation is building a brand-new enterprise data platform — a central hub for dashboards, analytics, AI-driven insights, and predictive tools.

We are looking for a UI/UX Engineer to join the Data Enablement & Governance team in a mixed role that blends UX design, UI design, and front-end development.
This is not a traditional designer role nor a pure engineering role — it is a hybrid position ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full design-to-build spectrum.

You’ll join a collaborative squad (Product Owner, Angular Developer, Backend Developers) and play a critical part in shaping how internal teams experience and interact with high-value data across the organisation.

What You’ll Work On

• Conduct UX research, map user journeys, and design intuitive workflows

• Create polished UI layouts, prototypes, and visual components in Figma/Adobe XD

• Build responsive interfaces in Angular, React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3

• Contribute to and maintain enterprise UI component libraries & design systems

• Integrate UI with RESTful APIs and backend services

• Run usability testing, refine user flows, and optimise UI performance

• Collaborate closely with Data, Engineering & Product teams in an Agile environment

What We’re Looking For

Must Have:

• 5+ years across UI/UX + front-end development

• Strong hands-on experience with Angular AND React

• Deep proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Sass/Less

• Skilled in Figma or Adobe XD

• Experience creating design systems or component-based UI libraries

• Strong understanding of user-centred design and accessibility (WCAG)

• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Agile delivery experience

• CI/CD or testing framework familiarity

• Experience designing for analytics, dashboards, or data-heavy interfaces
