Litigation Lawyer

Based in Wellington, you will work closely alongside and be mentored by senior lawyers who are experienced commercial and public law litigators with top-tier experience. About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

The firm undertakes a wide range of civil and commercial litigation work. You will have excellent exposure to a variety of complex disputes. You will get plenty of development and growth opportunities and will be part of a collaborative team undertaking research, preparing advice, drafting court documents, and briefing witnesses. You will appear in court, arbitrations, and mediations as appropriate, have direct contact with clients and work with leading senior barristers.

This role is full-time, but the firm is flexible in the way they operate, and part-time or flexible working options will be considered.

What you will bring | Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu

• 1-5 years of civil and/or commercial litigation experience (graduates will be considered provided you have a strong academic transcript)
• Excellent technical and interpersonal skills
• An ability to work through complex issues and great organisational skills
• An enthusiastic and proactive approach to worK
• Qualified in New Zealand or a Commonwealth jurisdiction with a strong academic record
