Environment and Resource Management Senior Solicitor

We are currently looking to fill a role in an excellent law firm in Auckland, as an Environment & Resource Management Solicitor. The firm is based in the heart of Auckland’s CBD, and are open to considering candidates with at least three years post qualification experience.

The variation of work is for corporate, private and central government clients across a vast range of areas including infrastructure, property, industrial and health care areas. If you are looking to advance your current expertise in the resource management and environment area then get in touch.

Key responsibilities:

• Resource consent appeals;
• Property and transport related projects;
• Liquor licensing work;
• RMA prosecutions and enforcement work;
• Regulatory compliance and advice on new legislation, climate change and sustainability issues;
• Advises on the environmental implications of property and corporate transactions and undertakes all specialist environmental litigation within the firm.

About you:

• Strong experience in Environment & Resource Management Law gained from another excellent law firm;
• You may have a broader litigation background but provided you've had some experience in resource management work, it would be worth applying;
• Hold a New Zealand practising certificate;
• Excellent technical and analytical written skills;
• Ability to work alongside others, with the possibility for managing junior lawyers.
