We are working with a dynamic North Shore based law firm who are searching for a passionate senior family lawyer looking to progress their career to Directorship. This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to join a supportive and values based firm, as well as advance their career by stepping up to the leadership position of Director. You will work across a diverse range of private client and legal aid family law cases, providing sound legal advice and representation in private negotiations, mediations, and court appearances. This firm has a strong community presence, offering support to local organisations.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide sound legal advice to clients dealing with sensitive family matters;
- Represent clients in private negotiations, mediations, and court appearances;
- Collaborate with the family team to ensure the best outcomes for clients;
- Maintain strong client relationships and build new client relationships;
- Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills in handling cases; and
- Maintain relationships with team members and relevant external parties.
To be successful in the role you should have:
- 6 + years PQE in family law, however, all applications will be assessed on merit;
- Good knowledge of family law processes and procedures;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear and concise legal advice;
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, common sense, and problem-solving skills; and
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
