Associate - Private Client

A dynamic law firm based in Christchurch, New Zealand is looking to add to their private client. They serve clients locally, nationally, and internationally, specializing in property and commercial law. Their expertise includes company law, employment, finance, property transactions, asset protection, and estate planning. They are known for our creative and pragmatic approach, focusing on solutions that help clients move forward.

The successful candidate will ideally possess substantial experience in estate administration and dispute resolution, as well as trust administration and reviews.

They should be well-versed in general private client matters, including wills, enduring powers of attorney, estate planning, and elder law. Additional experience in general practice would also be highly valued.

Responsibilities include

• Provide expert legal advice and representation to private clients on matters related to estate planning, wills, trusts, and family law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Manage a diverse caseload with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored legal solutions.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising clients accordingly.

Would be open to someone who would like to start working at 30 hours a week intially.
