Senior Solicitor

They are seeking a talented commercial property lawyer to join them and work primarily with Partner, Holly Hill, who is future-thinking and focused on empowering her team and developing them in the areas they are passionate about. This is a national team, so you will have the opportunity to work alongside the Auckland-based team too.

Ranked tier 1 on the Legal 500, this practice has an impressive list of clients, from the corporate and government sectors, including listed property companies, commercial property investors, government agencies, national portfolio clients, developers, and funders across the country.

This position will have a focus on commercial property including commercial leasing and development matters (for both commercial landlords, and corporate and government tenants), along with acting on property acquisition and divestment projects.

You will be able to lead work on files on a day-to-day basis, with a high degree of direct client contact and responsibility, and partner support and oversight as required. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior lawyers too.

You will be joining a team that is known for its supportive, energetic, and high-performance team culture, working collaboratively across a range of matters and sectors of the property industry.

The remuneration package is competitive. Flexible working options will be considered too.

What you will bring | Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu

• 4-6 years' experience acquired in-house and/or in private practice
• Commercial property experience with strong technical and transactional skills
• New Zealand or overseas qualified - this includes commonwealth countries and America
• Strong technical, written and analytical skills
• Comfortable running files autonomously with support as required
• A pragmatic approach and great interpersonal skills
• Proactive, curious, and open to novel approaches
