With the current 10 year programme of work to modernise the Ministries services whilst making sure historic buildings are looked after, and ensuring that all the properties are fit for purpose for the people and for customers, the team is growing and an opportunity for a Senior Advisor to join has opened up.
This role will support the General Manager by contributing to the development of papers, reports, briefings and proposals.
To be successful in this role having sound knowledge of and proven experience in a senior advisor role within the Property or Project Management sectors will be required. You will be developing and monitoring project milestones, look for opportunities and solutions to complex problems to manage and mitigate any associated or potential risks. As well as analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent at establishing and maintaining useful professional relationships and networks. You’ll be an enthusiastic and self-motivated person, as well as a team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation and offer suggestions for improving current systems and procedures.
- Contribute to defining the scope of projects and work scheduled in consultation with project sponsors
- Lead and co-lead projects and other discrete pieces of work.
- Develop project plans and monitor progress against project milestones and deliverables in accordance with the project plan
- Work with other Ministry business groups, units and teams to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.
- Manage relationships and contribute to the provision of trusted advice and services to key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience in producing written reports and presentations to a high standard.
- Ability communicate with a wide range of audiences on complex issues.
- Ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and effective networks across and within organisations.
