Bid Manager - 9 month contract (min)

This role will be instrumental in the tender phase of a multi-billion public-private partnership project. The successful candidate will report regularly to the Project Director and likely Project Steering Committee, ensuring all internal and external approvals for bid submissions are met. The Bid Manager will also be responsible for establishing the bid budget, tracking costs, and coordinating efforts across all teams for response development.

What you'll do:

As a Bid Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving the success of a multi-billion public-private partnership project. You'll be tasked with regular reporting to key stakeholders, establishing budgets, tracking costs, and defining deliverables. Your ability to coordinate efforts across multiple teams will be crucial as you develop responses. Furthermore, your strategic thinking will come into play as you develop and communicate the bid win strategy. You'll also manage client interactions with the Consortia team, ensuring all approvals for bid submissions are met.

  • Regular reporting to the Project Director and Project Steering Committee
  • Establishment of bid budget and cost tracking
  • Responsibility for the overall bid development programme and definition of the deliverables
  • Coordination of efforts for response development from across all teams
  • Development and communication of the bid win strategy
  • Planning and managing client and stakeholder interactions with Consortia team
  • Ensuring all internal and external approvals for bid submissions are met.

The ideal candidate for this Bid Manager position brings a wealth of experience in managing bids, particularly within large-scale projects. Your understanding of tender processes will be invaluable as you navigate through this multi-billion public-private partnership project. Your ability to establish budgets, track costs, coordinate efforts across teams, and develop winning strategies will set you apart. Additionally, your excellent stakeholder management skills will ensure smooth interactions with the consortia team.

  • Proven experience in high level construction Bid Management and able to extract tangible examples of multi-million $ wins, specifically within the NZ market
  • Strong understanding of tender processes within large-scale projects
  • Ability to establish budgets and track costs effectively
  • Experience coordinating efforts across multiple teams for response development
  • Strategic thinking skills to develop winning bid strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
