Our client is seeking a highly skilled Policy Analyst with a strong background in policy development and a demonstrated experience in engaging with Iwi communities for a fixed-term role until September 30th . This role requires an individual who is adept at policy writing, including the preparation of briefings, Official Information Act requests, memos, and ministerial documents. Familiarity with government operations and processes is essential. The successful candidate will be dedicated to managing all correspondence, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality written work is produced.

What you'll do:

As a Policy Analyst, you will play a crucial role in engaging with Iwi communities, understanding their needs, and reflecting these in the policies you develop. Your expertise in policy writing will be utilised as you prepare various documents including briefings, Official Information Act requests, memos, and ministerial documents. You will manage all correspondence, ensuring that high-quality written work is consistently produced. Meeting strict deadlines will be a key part of your role. Working collaboratively within a team, you will contribute significantly to achieving common goals.

  • Engage effectively with Iwi communities to understand their needs and perspectives
  • Develop policies that reflect the needs of the community and align with government operations
  • Prepare briefings, Official Information Act requests, memos, and ministerial documents
  • Manage all correspondence ensuring high-quality written work
