We are seeking a Senior Advisor to work on Employment Policy. The team this role sits in works exclusively on regulatory pieces of policy work which will see you engage across several significant bills. This role is an exciting opportunity to shape and manage policy projects in complex and sensitive areas.

You will be contributing to the strategic view of the policy agenda, applying advanced frameworks and methods of analysis, and developing innovative, practical, effective and durable policy options. Your ability to be comfortable when navigating a changing political environment and capability to develop strategic policy options will be vital to ensuring the efficient delivery of work.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Advisor, you will be at the forefront of shaping and managing policy projects in complex areas.

You will also take on responsibility, utilising your ability to lead a range of regulatory policy. Your experience should allow you to effectively provide legislative and regulatory advice to make informed decisions.

Your ability to lead meetings where matters are complex or sensitive will be crucial in this role.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Advisor position brings a wealth of experience in strategic thinking, regulation, and critical analysis. Your track record shows your capability in leading engagement with various stakeholders and developing innovative policy options. Your communication skills should enable you to articulate complex issues clearly. If you have previously held the pen on Regulatory Impact Statements and worked closely with submissions or select committee, you would be a desired candidate.

  • Advanced system, strategic and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to hold the pen on RIS
  • Supported or ran select committee
  • Analysed submissions
  • Ability to critically synthesise information from a wide variety of domains.
  • Experience in leading engagement with delivery agencies, stakeholders and government agencies.
  • Proven track record in developing innovative, practical, effective and durable policy options.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly.
  • Experience in project planning and management techniques.
  • Ability to lead multiple pieces of work concurrently.
