About the Roles
As part of the Ministerial and Official Information Act (OIA) teams within these organisations, you will play a key role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective communication between government agencies and the public. Depending on your level of experience, you will:
- Provide expert advice on ministerial correspondence, parliamentary questions, and OIA requests.
- Draft clear, concise, and accurate responses to complex queries.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Lead or contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Mentor and support colleagues to build capability within the team (Senior/Principal/Management roles).
- Have a strong understanding of Machinery of Government processes
- Quickly turn around WPQ's, OIA's and memos within the required deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
The organisations we work with are interested in hearing from individuals with:
- Proven experience in ministerial services, OIA processes, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information quickly.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate both written and verbally to a range of levels and stakeholders.
- Leadership experience (for senior-level roles) or a desire to grow into leadership positions.
