Policy Advisor
The Crown Response Office (CRO), part of Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission, leads the Crown’s response to the Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry.
This is high-profile, meaningful work that will influence system-level change and deliver enduring improvements for survivors and communities. As a Policy Analyst, you’ll get the opportunity to:

About you:

Strong policy development and analysis skills, ideally in complex or sensitive areas.

Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver clear, actionable advice.

Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills.

Understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and kawa, or a commitment to learn.
You’ll be part of a cohesive and dedicated team working on a programme that matters. The Crown Response Office is a timebound entity with a clear mission: to deliver improvements to redress by 30 June 2026 and a Crown Response Plan by 30 June 2027.
