Policy Advisor – Drive System Leadership for Aotearoa

Are you passionate about shaping policy and driving system-wide change that delivers meaningful outcomes for New Zealanders? We are seeking a talented Policy Advisor to join a collaborative and high-performing team working on complex, cross-agency issues. This is a fixed-term role until 30 June 2027, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to significant work with long-lasting impact.

In this role, you will:

• Provide high-quality policy advice and analysis on significant government priorities.
• Play a key role in system leadership by contributing to joined-up, cross-agency solutions that address complex challenges.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across government and beyond to ensure alignment and collaboration.
• Ensure Te Tiriti o Waitangi considerations are embedded in your work, supporting equitable outcomes for all communities.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience in policy development and analysis within the public sector, ideally in a system leadership context.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complexity while influencing others.
• Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities to foster collaboration across agencies.
