Senior Business Partner-Commercial

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Business Partner - Commercial to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping procurement activities that deliver high-value outcomes. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, leading, and managing the procurement planning, sourcing, and contract management processes, ensuring that goods and services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with strategic objectives.

You will act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance to internal stakeholders on best practices in procurement and commercial operations, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. You will also be at the forefront of implementing innovative procurement strategies, including leading the Supplier Diversity Strategy to increase engagement with Māori suppliers.

Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of public sector procurement experience
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions that drive positive outcomes and public value
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities
• Lead complex, end-to-end procurement activities across diverse categories
• Champion the organisation-wide Supplier Diversity Strategy, driving engagement with Māori suppliers
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes
• Advise stakeholders on supplier relationship management and contract best practices
• Contribute to the development of commercial capability within the organisation

This position is based in Wellington, with a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $140,000, depending on experience.
